Introducing Future Lab Africa. Artists discussing the culture of art and technology in Africa.

Future Lab Africa is an interactive space that engages cultures of technology through critical aesthetic explorations in Africa. Future Lab Africa came about as the Post African Futures contribution of digital artist Jepchumba, from which the project has evolved as a research collaboration between with Tegan Bristow. Future Lab Africa hopes to create lasting networks and public engagements which extend beyond the exhibition incorporating research and multi disciplinary methodologies as a basis of understanding new developments in the African digital art space.

What is Future Lab Africa?

It is a podcast series hopes to breed curiosity by inviting the you to use your imagination and think creatively with reckless abandon. The show is a call to explore African modes of science and technology outside of lab spaces and innovation labs. We seek to find what does technology, science, nature, the environment and the nature of experimentation really mean in the context of African people’s lived realities.
